Work in progress
Since 2019, and throughout periods of national lockdown, I have been undertaking solitary field trips to Poland in order to photograph some of the country’s most deprived and neglected regions. This ongoing project is a visual inquiry into the aesthetics of modern ruins, spatial decline as collective self-harm, architecture as anatomy, survivor’s guilt, the urban uncanny, necro-topography, and the relationships between trauma, memory and material culture.
